I am just letting you all know of an up coming event that I am participating in. It is Race for the Cure. It is May 9th and it is a 5k run/walk. They also have a 1mile walk if you want to. I am doing the 5k run and my goal is to do it in under 30 min. Anyone up to participating with me?

UH OH
Ok - I have to report a gain for this week +2 for Thunderbuns. I had a couple of out of control days. We took the kids to lunch and a movie and movie theatre popcorn is soooooooo yummy. Lunch was yummy too - and not very healthy. AND THEN the cute little girl scouts sold me some of those dangerously delicious girl scout cookies - It just went down hill from there. I'm back on the band wagon today ready for an awesome week.
I am also thinking about signing up for a 1/2 marathon in October. I do really well if I have something that I am training for with a dead line. SOOOO - If anyone wants to fly down here and do a half marathon with me - I would LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Poppy I know you have a bad knee but if you convince Darla to come and bring you - I will push you in the jogging stroller. :O)
Good Luck Everyone!!!!

wow, bad week
I had a horrible time behaving myself this week. Serious lack of self control. I am obviously having the same problem as the biggest loser...I can appreciate her vent, I have no idea how to solve it. My hope is that at least I can want to have control more of the time then I don't care about having control (if that makes any sense). I will stay here though, and the thought of Mondays weigh-in does help to some extent. I will also start logging my food journal and excersise again, even though it dosen't make for really fun blog reading, because I do so much better knowing you are there keeping me accountable. I will also keep up with Workout Wednesday and Challenge Thursday. Thanks for the support. I will get back on track with your help. +2.

My report
So, I am blaming this a little on Valentines Day since the bet was off for the weekend but I was also a little out of control on the calorie consumption vs calorie burn (which I know I didn't exersice as much as I needed to). I am reporting a +5 for the week. Ya, I know, It is almost a total reset but I will be in more control this week. The gym opened today so I plan on going every day and eating better. Things will shape up for next week :)

Saints Fan
I finished the week with 0, no gain no lose. I probably would have done better if it wasn't for two large pieces of Chocolate Cake with Carmel Icing. This next week I will walk an addition 60 minutes and say no to the second piece of cake.

This week
“I actually ate fruit and some veggies this week and I am down -4 from last week’s weigh in. This next week’s goal is -3 and my long term goal is -40 by Dec 31. I am looking forward to be able to fit back into my favorite tie again from my mission.”

Here I am again..
at another .5 loss. I know that I am closer to the end of my weight loss but it is still frustrating when I do so good at the scale all week except for the day that it counts. Anyway, my short term goals are going to stay the same until I actually keep them. exercising 5 times a week and drinking at least 4 20oz water bottles a day. Long term is to get back to the lowest weight that I have weighed in at Weight Watchers. At that point it is back to the doctor to see if I can reset that goal. I also want to look/feel good in a swimsuit this summer. There has always been a part of me that I try to hide under something while wearing that stupid thing and I just want to feel confident. Sounds dumb, I know.

Reporting In
Well Alfalfa and Darla really struggled this week. Alfalfa reports a -1.5 and Darla stayed the same for the week. If we would just take the time to exercise and not use our list of excuses maybe we will do better. So short term our goals are to exercise this week, at least 3 times. Long term our goals are to get down to the weight we chose last spring when we did this. (Funny what having a baby and having your wife be pregnant does to weight loss goals.) We were doing great last year it is just a matter of dedication and will power. We will definitely get there and it is great that we are all doing this together. Good luck to everyone this next week and for the long term. Alfalfa and Darla
Weigh-in #2
Well, not as good as last week, but nothing to complain about...Cookie is reporting a -1. I still need to hit that goal of 5 workouts, so I will keep that as my goal. As for my long term goal, I have a pair of pants in the bottom of my drawer that I bought after I had Ethan. They are so cute. Unfortunately they will no longer squeeze on my ever growing backside. I will celebrate my birthday in those pants. Because if I can't wear the pants, I have decided I just don't want a birthday. I know that I am crying to the wrong crowd because you have all already done this, but I am just having the hardest time with this goofy age. So I am willing to turn 30 if I can do it in my skinny pants. If not, I will remain 29!! Lets hear it, how is everyone's weigh-in? And what is your long term goal?

New week, New goals.
So, how did all of you do with your goals last week. Let's hear your accomplishments(or confessions) as for me it is confession, but I did really well at other things that weren't techinically my goal. So since hitting the goal of excercizing 5 times a week is obviously so hard for me to accomplish I will set it again this week, because even though I only excercized twice last week, that was twice more than I would have without the goal. So I am going to keep my current goal until I am able to accomplish it. What about you guys, what are your goals for the week? (And btw, I think we will set long term goals soon, so be thinking about that if you don't have one in mind already.)
