Sorry I'm Home

Yes we are home 5 days early. Business trips stink. Warm weather or snow? Job or no job? Not much of a choice. I was planning to weigh in tomorrow, but after Razzle saying that she could not because she had company and is waiting for next week, maybe I will too. (However, my scale is in the bathroom and naked would scare the mirror) I'll sign in tomorrow.

Poppy

Healthy Eats?

This is Razzle's hubby. I'm not a member of Club Zero, but I found this on MSN and thought it could be worth posting. (Many of you know that I like to stay educated on what is healthy and what is not; sadly I do eat alot, but I try to make healthy choices and moderate my "treats" if I can.) They show what to look for and what to avoid if you're going out to eat, and some of it was really eye-opening to me.

America's Unhealthiest Restaurants

The articles mention that they pulled some info from this article as well:

I hope this helps someone the next time they decide to go out!

At least I Am Not Alone

Well count me in with those who gained this past week. I am reporting a +3. I would be sad about it but the 2 trips to Coldstone and the double cheeseburger and fries from In-N-Out Burger were TOTALLY worth it. I needed this vacation in the worst way. Now I am ready to focus on getting to my goal before our family trip to Yellowstone at the end of June. Better luck to all of us this week. ALFALFA

Reporting in!! :)

I would like to report a -2 this week. I wish it was more but I had to have a ham and apple wrap from Taggarts this weekend, and it was so worth every bite. yum yum.

....and back on again.

So it seems to me (and probably you too) that I fall on and off of the bandwagon very often and very easily. Well, I am back on. I have been guilty Club Zero. Guilty of not excercising, guilty of eating whatever, whenever. Guilty of just not caring. It has to change. I have only thought of you on Mondays, and occasionally Wednesdays, and usually Thursdays when I come to apologize. Today I am turning over a new leaf. I have a scale and I have a plan. No more of this, I will just make it happen somehow magically. The work begins today. As I look back I realize that I could have been at my goal by now. Those skinny pants just have to stay in the drawer. But the past is in the past and I will change. It is possible. I also heard something very motivating to me and thought I would pass it on. Sorry that I forgot where I heard it, but it was this....that in the Gospel, and in life in general, we shouldn't have everything we want. If we let ourselves always have whatever we wanted whenever we wanted it we wouldn't be very good people. Just because we want it dosen't mean we should have it. (I think you would all agree with that point.) But the thought goes on to suggest that it is the same with our diet. Just because we want it dosen't make it good, we shouldn't ALWAYS have everything we want. (I will add my own addendum though that SOMETIMES is not always). I will not be a zero again next week if I have anything to say about it. Good Luck this week Club Zero. I am back.
-Cookie

I'm blaming it on the gravitational pull of the Moon...

since there seems to be a lot of gaining this week :)....it's comforting to know I'm not alone (but it doesn't make me any happier) I gained 5 lbs this week. DANGIT. I've gotta get enough energy to care!! (and how come you loose weight 1 lb at a time and it can come back on 5 lbs at a time!!!)

-hot momma

well.....

I guess it isn't horrible but I sure wish it wasn't there. I have to report a +1 for this week. Sadly it really is like a +4 because before we left I had lost that 3 lbs I gained last week but it is back now. But from my weight last monday it is on ly +1 So now I am back to 0 it is time for me to get on the ball. I am going to try a few different things and hope they work. It isn't easy being a nursing mom to try to watch what you eat. I know all mom's aren't like this but nursing makes me so hungry!! So I am going to try to exersize this week. Not half heartedly but really try. We did do some great exersize while we were gone and aparently it was a good thing or things would have been much worse :) So if anyone has any great workout tips please pass them on. I need all the help I can get :)

Darla

Holy Freakazoli!!!!!!

Ok so I gained 4 pounds!! Yep it is true - I did!!!! I did not diet or exercise at all while my family was here visiting and we ate out almost every day. The food was yummy - but not sure it is worth the 4 pounds I put back on --- UGH!!!!!! Time to get to work!!!!!

- Thunderbuns

So...

Due to haveing some friends from out of town stay at our house last night, I was unable to weigh in today. So...I am just going to report a 0 for this week and see what happens next week. ^_^

Workout Wednesday/Challenge Thursday

Here we are again....enjoy your fun at my expense....

I picked this one specifically for those members that I know are currently starting walking routines....

Tip #31

Don't waste your walk

Walking is a great form of exercise because, well, we all know how to do it. You can march in place in a 2 x 2 empty space, walk outside, or really burn it up on a treadmill. But did you know the wrong form or techniquie while walking can actually slow you down or cause unnecessary strain to working muscles?

Go for a walk today, but make sure you use good form and technique. Here's how:

1. Use a shorter stride. Don't leap forward with long, lengthy strides. Reather, take short quick steps. Land heel first; then roll through to the toes.

2. Let your upper body lead. Lean forward slightly from your hips and let your upper body lead the way. You want your ankles, hips, shoulders, and head i a nice, straight line-but at a slight diagonal.

3. Deep your knees soft. Don't let your knees lock up at any time during your walk.

4. Pump your arms. Bend them at a 90 degree angle, keeping the elbows in close to your body, and swing your arms back until your wrists are near your rib cage.

Tip #36

Hooked on Soda Pop?

For some of you, this may very well be one of the most difficult tasks you'll recieve.

Is all soda pop bad? In moderation, no. In excess, absolutely. If you're a regular soda drinker, "moderate" consumption would be about 12 to 24 ounces per day. "Excess" would probably equal anything over 32 ounces per day. (If you enjoy a 32 ounce or larger serving of soda pop once in a while, don't fret. It's those of us who must have more than 24 ounces of soda pop every day who need some work.) Some sodas flood your body with sugar, some with caffeine - and noncaffeinated, diet sodas (like all soda pop) simply make you miss out on drinking other healthful beverages like water, 100 percent fruit juice, or low-fat milk.

Cut out all soda pop today. Just do it. It's only one day. You can do anything for one day! This simple excercise is beneficial - even for one day - because it helps you realize that water tastes good, too, and that you really don't need that soda just to get through the day. Moderation is the key.

Winter Diet

Sorry but the fact that it is snowing harder than it has all winter has me in the mood for great winter food. I am not sure that it is diet comfortable but it sure is mood comfortable. Boiled eggs, toast, jam and best of all POSTUM!!! Thanks Cookie!!!!!

What I did today

I just thought that I would share what I did today. I got a body assessment. You know, where they tell you what your body fat percentage is. I had this done for one of my classes in college about 4-5 years ago and, even though I can't find my book to give a percentage, I was in the obese range. Today when I had it done, I am 20.55% body fat (don't know if that is a good number or not) but the guy that did it said I am in the athletic range now. That range also came from my new book by Jillian Michaels. I was so happy to hear that. All my hard work over the years has paid off I think. Now to get that down to 0. hahaha
-Razzle

I'm back...

...not as tan as one might hope, but back and ready to get going again. And of all the things I bought while gone, a scale was not one of them. I will get one this week. I promise.

Just something to think about :)

Too many people put off something that brings them joy just because they haven't thought about it, don't have it on their schedule, didn't know it was coming or are too rigid to depart from their routine. I got to thinking one day about all those women on the Titanic who passed up dessert at dinner that fateful night in an effort to cut back.

From then on, I've tried to be a little more flexible. How many women out there will eat at home because their husband didn't suggest going out to dinner until after something had been thawed? Does the word 'refrigeration' mean nothing to you?

How often have your kids dropped in to talk and sat in silence while you watched 'Jeopardy' on television?

I cannot count the times I called my sister and said, 'How about going to lunch in a half hour?' She would gas up and stammer, 'I can't. I have clothes on the line. My hair is dirty. I wish I had known yesterday, I had a late breakfast, It looks like rain.' And my personal favorite: 'It's Monday.' She died a few years ago. We never did have lunch together.

Because Americans cram so much into their lives, we tend to schedule our headaches. We live on a sparse diet of promises we make to ourselves when all the conditions are perfect!

We'll go back and visit the grandparents when we get Steve toilet-trained.. We'll entertain when we replace the living-room carpet... We'll go on a second honeymoon when we get two more kids out of college.

Life has a way of accelerating as we get older. The days get shorter, and the list of promises to ourselves gets longer. One morning, we awaken, and all we have to show for our lives is a litany of 'I'm going to,' 'I plan on,' and 'Someday, when things are settled down a bit.'

When anyone calls my 'seize the moment' friend, she is open to adventure and available for trips. She keeps an open mind on new ideas. Her enthusiasm for life is contagious. You talk with her for five minutes, and you're ready to trade your bad feet for a pair of Roller blades and skip an elevator for a bungee cord..

My lips have not touched ice cream in 10 years. I love ice cream.. It's just that I might as well apply it directly to my stomach with a spatula and eliminate the digestive process The other day, I stopped the car and bought a triple-Decker. If my car had hit an iceberg on the way home, I would have died happy.

Now...go on and have a nice day. Do something you WANT to......not something on your SHOULD DO list. If you were going to die soon and had only one phone call you could make, who would you call and what would you say? And why are you waiting? Have you ever watched kids playing on a merry go round or listened to the rain dropping on the ground? Ever followed a butter fly's erratic flight or gazed at the sun into the fading night? Do you run through each day on the fly? When you ask ' How are you?' Do you hear the reply?

When the day is done, do you lie in your bed with the next hundred chores running through your head? Ever told your child, 'We'll do it tomorrow.' And in your haste, not see his sorrow? Ever lost touch? Let a good friendship die? Just call to say 'Hi? When you worry and hurry through your day, it is like an unopened gift....Thrown away..... Life is not a race Take it slower. Hear the music before the song is over.

Life may not be the life we hoped for... but while we are here we might as well dance!

Me Too

I am reporting a ZERO for the week too. Walking must have helped me because I snacked way too much last week and probably should have gained a pound or two. Hope our trip doesn't add to the numbers for next week. I will try to be good. ALFALFA

Reporting In!!

I would like to report a -2 pounds this week!!!

The biggest Loser

ZERO ZERO ZERO

Reporting a big ZERO. However it was not girl scout cookies. Mine are still in their tightly closed boxes wishing some of the kids would devour them. Just got to try harder. However, probably not next week as we too will be in St. George. Maybe when Cookie gets home, if she has a los to report, we can all have hope for next week.

Poppy

a surprise here too

I'm reporting another "ZERO" today...which I am surprised about...see we had the girl scouts show up too, and I've been stressed out w/ sick kids, lack of sleep, and other personal issues I won't go into...needless to say, my eating hasn't been so good (well...it tasted good...but you know what I mean)...so I'll happily take the "ZERO" and hope for a better week (that means one w/ no sick kids!!! and maybe hopefully a vacation at the end of it, but I'm not counting on it anymore **sniff, sniff**
-Hot Momma

@%#! Girl Scouts !!!!

Yes Yes we got our yummy cookies this week :) How can you resist those fabulous little bites of scrumptiousness. I was hoping my walking and working in the yard off set the amount of tasty morsels I consumed but alas no. I have to report a +3. I don't really think it has everything to do with the cookies I think I am retaining some serious water so hopefully it is gone next week. Yes we are taking off to St George but we are planning some great outdoor activities. I am hoping to at least come home with a 0. Wish me luck :)
Darla

Well...

Sadly I am reporting a +1 for the week. I am jumping on the bandwagon for real this week. One thing that I know I have been bad at is getting my water in. With the exercising that I am doing, I really should be better at this. That is the one thing I am going to focus on this week. I hope things turn around for the next weigh in :)
-Razzle

WHAT IN THE WORLD!!!!!

I don't know how this happened - it is a freak of nature. I lost 1 pound!!! I know you are asking "um, why is she so excited that she lost 1 pound." Well to answer that question for you is to tell you that I have eaten like a hog the last few days. My parents and little sister are here and we have eaten pretty much everything Alabama has to offer. NOT TO MENTION I stopped in at my FAVORITE place and ate my beloved California chicken burger with no pickles and probably 200 baskets of fries. (Worth every calorie) :O) So we have one more week of parties and food so next Monday I bet I won't be quite so lucky! :O) Good luck to y'all!!!!!

FYI

Just a confession from Darla. I know I had a baby a few months ago and at that time my life fell apart for a while. BUT!!! I am back in the swing of things (for the most part) and we are going on vacation this week. Well I decided to see if I still fit into my skinny swim suit that I bought last summer when I did get skinny YUCK!!!! I wouldn't be caught dead in it right now. So Darla is going to go crazy and hope my body can keep up to me :) I certianly hope it will because I desperatley need to do something. I am hoping Alfalfa can help me out because I can't do things like this alone. I am so glad to know you are all out there too. It has been so nice to be able to get out and walk this week. I don't think it has made a difference on the scale yet but hopefully soon. Thanks for the supprot

Things I wish I had never known :)

There are many things in my life that I wish I had never known but this one has to do with club zero so I thought I would share. I decided to jump on the Club Zero band wagon big time yesterday and go for a 3 mile walk and work out last night. FABULOUS!! It felt so good. The walk was awesome. It was the first time Matthew had gotten so much fresh air. I think it was good for all of us :) But then as I was doing some sit ups last night I realized how unconnected my stomach muscles are!!! OUCH!!!!! I guess I knew that they were cut into pieces but for some reason I just thought they would connect back together but no!! Last night I learned that it is going to take some work to get them back together and today I am totally feeling their pain of reconnection. I know there are some of you out there who have felt my pains before and some that are right there with me. So it is my goal to within the next few months to get those muscles reconnected and make them realize they really do have a job :)

Congrats...

Biggest Loser just hit double digit weight loss....way to go!

Workout Wednesday

Today I am branching out from the book as well. The weather is too beautiful not to. The workout for this week is to do something fun and childlike, outside. Ride your bike, jump on the trampoline. Play a game of tag. Anything you like. Enjoy the weather, and get your workout at the same time!!

Tuesday, March 17, 2009

Finally

I am happy to report a -3 for this week!!! I know I can't totally claim it, because I think the 3 pound gain from last week is just water and took care of itself. BUT. . . that won't keep me from celebrating!!!
Fogarty also has a loss of 1.
He and I are going to take advantage of the weather and be outside working, playing, walking and jogging this week. Wish us luck!

Bla Bla Bla

Just Darla here reporting a big fat 0 for this week. I have really got to get myself motivated. Hopefully this wonderful spring weather will help :)

hot momma and saintsfan

Hot momma is reporting a big fat 0 and the saints fan is reporting a -1. Time to work harder!!
I am happy to report a -1 today - truly it was a shock because I ate 57,000 homemade dinner rolls yesterday with butter :O)

-Thunderbuns

I Need Motivation

I have to report a +1.5 for the week. I just didn't have the motivation to do anything. I look at the treadmill and instead of wanting to use it, all it makes me think is "Why the @!#!? isn't it warm enough to go outside and get some exercise by doing some yard work or going for a walk with Darla. (I think we have been cooped up with the rest of the Little Rascals gang for a very long winter.) Maybe this week's warm weather is a sign of better things to come, both for my Club Zero numbers and for our yard. ALFALFA
Reporting a -1 today. Not too bad considering I had three pieces of pie yesterday. Thanksgiving dinner in the spring . I should know better!!!! (Part of it could also be the Cadbury Mini Eggs)

Poppy

Reporting....

a -1 for the week. This is a good fresh start for my new fresh look at weight loss :)

Weigh in for Monday

I would love to report a -2 this week!!! Thanks for all the support! :)

ATTENTION!!!

If you haven't voted on the sidebar it is a good day to mention, that there is one day left of the t-shirt vote. VOTE VOTE VOTE. (and if there is more than one member of club zero in your household, you can comment your vote either here or on the original post that went along with the vote.

Still without scale....

So no weigh in this week. (I think I found a great way to escape the dreaded Monday weigh-in...he he he). To be fair, I did go to Costco with all intentions of buying a scale, but alas, they didn't have one. I never did get anywhere else to look. I will get one.....eventually.

Berry Blue's news

...keep Berry Blue in your prayers for a while Club Zero, I don't know when she'll be back, but she is no longer on maternity leave. We love you so very much Berry Blue, hang in there.

Thursday, March 12, 2009

I may have crossed a line....

....into complete uselessness. One day on Wednesday, maybe I will actually remember it is Wednesday. I should recruit someone to be my offical reminder so I can save myself the weekly apology, but until then....sorry....again.....and here is your workout wednesday/challenge thursday for the week.

Tip #192

Use it or Lose it

I often hear people say, "If you don't excercise, your muscles will turn into fat." While that may be a good fear-instilling way to get people to exercise, it's simply not true. Muscle tissue doesn't magically turn into something different - it is and will always be "muscle tissue". What really happens is that our muscles slowly break down and deteriorate due to lack of use - they essentially waste away. When this happens, your energy level crashes, you feel tired, and your metabolic rate drops (meaning you have to eat less and less in order to lose or maintain weight). But there is a light: exercise - strength training specifically - is the one and only way to keep that muscle tissue active, healthy, and vivacious. Stimulating your muscles every day promotes a healthy metabolism, allowing you to eat sensible, normal amounts of food without the constant fear of weight gain.

The bottom line is simple: we all have to excercise - not just to lose weight, not just to look better, but to survive and feel good in this very unhealthy world.

(I know this is not technically a workout, but it made me feel like moving!)

Tip #17

The Power of Positive

Have you ever uttered the words, "I'm too fat," "I'm too out of shape," "I'm too flabby," or other negative, nonproductive thoughts? If you're human, the answer is probably a resounding "yes!" Most of us are pretty harsh when it comes to our physical attributes. We forget about all the good things we do and pick at ourselves by saying things to ourselves we would never say to someone else. And what good does it do? Does it motivate you to go do something positive? Not likely. Picking on your self gets you down, making you think and do negative things like "Oh, forget it. I'm a fat slob and there's no hope, so I'll just eat this whole pint of ice cream."

So today your job is to be positive about yourself. Don't say anything negative about your physical shape or size. Think about your positive attributes today. Those good attributes deserve to be taken care of. That's the motivation to make the healthier choices.

SPOILER ALERT!!!! Wednesday's Biggest Loser Episode

If you haven't watched this weeks Biggest Loser and still plan on it then don't read this post. But if you have watched it...

I thought last weeks episode was the most frustrating ever because of the cliff hanger ending. Oh was I wrong!! This weeks was WAY more frustrating. I really like almost every contestant on the show but I was so rooting for the Blue team this week. The Black team is getting way to cocky and I figured when they were able to indulge for 24 hours of luxury that they would go down. (Oops that was wrong.)
It was so sad to watch them lose on that final weigh in. They gave it their all this week and it still wasn't good enough. Even with the frustrating loss I still thought they would be smart enough to finally send Ron home. I like the guy, but he is KILLING their team. He can't even walk!!!! They would have won the challenge if he didn't fall so far behind on the first leg. They would have won the challenge last week if he was able to move. They made a big mistake initially when they sent their strongest player home because they thought he was the biggest threat. Now that stupid decision is coming back to destroy their team. They again send one of their strongest players home and are left with a guy who tries hard even though he can't walk, and little hope of not being picked off one by one by the black team.
And to add to my frustrations, Jillian finally got put in her place when she was totally in the wrong and she acted like it wasn't her fault. If I wasn't so afraid that Jillian would rip my still beating heart out of my chest and stomp on it in front of me I'd walk right up to her and give her a piece of my mind too!!! Thanks for letting me vent. ALFALFA

PS: I can't believe I actually just wrote an entire blog post about a weight loss reality tv show. I think I will go cry myself to sleep now.

Final Vote on the T-Shirt

So the time has come to make up your minds Club Zero. Which is your favorite. As always, majority rules. There is a poll in the sidebar. The link is to the pictures and numbers. Any comments are welcome. Thanks again to all who contributed, the designs are awesome!

Bad Week!

I think I've lost a little enthusiasm. I need to get back on track, I'm -4 so far, which means I went up a pound, blah!
Banana

Where are you??

Saints Fan, Battleshiphips, Banana, Sassy Girl.....?????

Technical Difficulties

So, I tried to weigh-in yesterday, and according to my scale I am either +5 or -5 or anywhere in between. I swear, I weighed like 4 times in a row and all 4 were different, and the needle kept moving away from zero when I was off the scale, and apparently when I take a deep breath I weigh 3 pounds less than when I exhale.....I think my old scale has given up on me. I will be looking for a new digital scale this week. (Anyone happen to know a good place to buy one?) So I suppose I will stay a zero this week and I will count whatever the new scale says as my "new" zero and go from there.

Note:Of course this is Cookie, I do believe I am the only one who forgets to sign each and every post I make....sorry.

Rex has a -1 for the week.

Surprised

I am shocked to report a -.5. I dealt with a sinus infection this week, didn't feel like exercising, and thought I ate a little too freely. Guess drinking water is helping. I will get back on track with the exercise this week. ALFALFA

Positive and Negetive AGAIN!

I wish I could get on the negetive side of this thing, but at least one of us is doing well. Fogarty reports a negetive .5! And I am afraid I have to report +3 OUCH! Still working hard for the 3 days of exercise and water. Our meals have been much better balanced and we BOTH hope to see big negetives by next week.
Zody
I like Darla and the biggest loser would LIKE to report a -3 this week or a negative anything, but sorry to say that I have to report a +1. Time to get serious!!!!

Poppy

oops

well..my eating "naughty" things has caught up with me. +2 this week...time to stop eating for 2!! --Hot Momma

Sad, but true

I have to report a +1 for the week. I think I took my goal of eating more out of proportion. This week I am not setting a goal to eat more but to eat smart. I also have to find myself in all of this. I think that I am not having the success that I could because I am doing it all for the wrong reasons. I will not be posting my daily journal anymore because I need to be doing this for myself, not for anyone else. Thanks everyone for the support. I will still be here as a member, I will just not be posting everyday :)

Down again!!!!

I would like to report a -1 again for this week. Slowly but surly I think it will all go away :)

Thunderbuns is reporting a negative 3 for this week :O) ---- Good Luck Everyone!!!!!!!

I would like to report a -3 for this week!!! Good luck to everyone :)

Workout Wednesday/Challenge Thursday

Here we are again with a two in one. I guess I should be glad that occasionally life takes over the computer, so here goes

For the workout I am going to suggest something not from the book today, I got a great suggestion from a friend. Read on your treadmill. Your pace has to be a lot slower, but if you really get into the book you will walk far longer and not notice the time. Also, you will get a great book read. For those of you that don't like to read, you could watch TV. I think we all spend some time watching TV anyways, so walk while you do it instead of sitting on the couch. For those of you without access to a treadmill, I am sorry, but you can try to fit a good healthy walk in sometime this week.

For the challenge....

Tip #214

Five pounds of fat

It dosen't matter if you have five pounds, hundreds of pounds, or no weight to lose, I want you to take a good look at some vegetable shortening today - five pounds of shortening(the amount in one large canister)* Take the lid off and get a good look. All of that greasy gunk (it won't wipe off your hands, so imagine it swimming around in your arteries) is what you could rid your body of if you set a goal to lose five pounds of fat. This simple visual is unforgettable. It will help you to find the willpower, determination, and motivation to stay on the right path so that you can lose unhealthy body fat and rejuvenate your body.

If five pounds seems like nothing to you, it shouldn't after today. I think losing a canister of Crisco off of my hips is pretty significant! Anytime you feel like losing a meager one, three, or five pounds isn't worth the effort, remember the visual picture of that five-pound tub of shortening - because, pound for pound, it is worth it!

Sorry I Skipped a Day

Sorry everybody, I totally forgot to post something yesterday. Here is my positive thing for the last two days. Darla and I are grateful for amoxicillin. We have both fighting sinus infections for about a week and finally realized today that drugs like this were invented for a reason. Hopefully they will take effect in the next day or two. I must admit I haven't felt like exercising this week since every time I bend my head down it feels like it is going to explode. I will try again tomorrow. Talk to you all later. ALFALFA

Tuesday

So, here I am here again
Breakfast- pita(4)
Lunch- Burger and fries(12)
Snack- 2 fruit leather and 1 apple(3)
Dinner- pita sandwich(8)
Water- 3 20 oz water bottles
Exercise- 40 min on bike and 15 min stretching (I don't do that every day and I can start to tell with my muscles)
I feel like I over ate today.

Rex is late as usual. I lossed 0 and gained 0. Not that impressive, but hopefully I can make a needed change this week to encourage my body to lose weight.

Thinking Positive - and Negative

I get to post a 0 for this week. I guess I should be upset, but I am glad. I have made very sublte changes and I am still keeping off my 4 pounds. I am glad that the small changes I have made are making a difference and I know I can live with these changes. I am finally feeling better, so I am going to add 3 workouts this week and make sure to get my water in.
Thanks for hanging in there with me - we are back to work!
-Zody
I was surprised to see and -2.3 for me this week. I guess just thinking negetive works, because I didn't have to work very hard for this one! Actually I have been trying to keep my workouts more consistant - thanks to the push up challenge. I will continue with the lunches at home and work with Zody to keep portions and sweets down.

Better Late than Never

Sorry I'm late, but a trip to St. George kept me from reporting yesterday. Today I am glad to report only a + .o5 . Not to shabby for an OLD person after a week on vacation. The only meal I cooked was Sunday Dinner. The rest I left to whom ever was working at the resturant that night. I LOVE ST. GEORGE TRIPS !!!!!!

I'm down 3.5 lbs this week. 3.5 to go until I'm at my pre-preg weight and the real work begins!!

On this one the writing would be black and change to white inside the circle. I just couldn't get the computer program to do that, so I made it pink.

Black T-shirt or hoodie (my favorite), with silver or gray lettering stating... "CLUB ZERO" with an est. 2009 like Gold's Gym on the front and then on the back some amazing quote...like..."we may not have it all together but together we'll loose it all."

Because I dropped the ball getting these posted when I said I would I think we should have a week to vote and discuss or add or change ideas, real voting on final designs will take place a week from today.

Ditto

I am happy to report a -1 for the week just like Darla. I really tried to drink all my water this week and that seemed to help. Thanks for putting up with my daily reports this week. I will try it again this week and see if it continues to help me stay positive. Exercise is my goal for this week too. At least more then the two times I did it this past week. Good luck everybody!!

Not too shabby!!!

Well today I am reporting a -1. Not too shabby I think the only one of my goals I completed was the water. But it does burn alot cleaning like I have this week. I definatley got my strength training in lifting beds :) Thanks club zero friends for helping me stay on track. Darla

The biggest Loser

So....

This morning wasn't the best one for the scale. I gained 1 lb from last week. Which puts me at...you guessed it...0. No, I am not very happy with what the scale reads especially since I have been working so hard at the gym and eating right. I have to not think about what the scale says and think about how much better all my cloths fit :) I was told a tip by one of the teachers at WW when I went on Saturday that I should be eating my exercise points. My body needs the extra calories. So, that is my goal for the week. To eat more :)

Sneaking in some exercise

I'm at -5! I've been trying to eat really good... even though I struggle on the weekends. I've also been trying to be more active, even if I have to do but squeezes while I'm doing the dishes, flex my stomach while I'm driving, or squats while I'm holding a baby. Woohoo!

Banana

Apologies....

Club Zero, I have failed you. I skipped Challenge Thursday, I left for the weekend, and didn't post the t-shirt pictures, and I gained 5 lbs this week. Apparently I need something to change. I do have a new long term goal, since clearly I will not be making the original goal. I played on my in-laws new WII Fit this weekend and found out that I am 20 lbs away from the "ideal" BMI for my height and age. I know it is a very modest goal, but here is my new long term goal. I want to be at a 22 BMI that means I have 20 lbs to lose (according to WII Fit). I also want to workout daily. Probably not every day, but consistantly 5 days a week. I really need to make excercise part of my life, and it is not. I really struggle with that. The excersise I want to work on immediately, and to motivate me I will post my workouts. My weight goal is very slow modest loss goal. I want to roll in the new year at my new weight, so if I lose it faster then I just want to maintain. My weight is currently at a zero. I will look at that as a fresh start. That is if you aren't sick of me and my wishy-washyness. I will get motivated, I promise.

I did my weigh in this morning and I gained some weight this week - +.5 - I am not happy about that - but what do I do - just do better this week. My goal for the week is to exercise 5 days a week. I have really slacked on that. I know that when I do get in some physical exercise I feel so much better - so I need to just remember that when I am making up excuses as to why I am too busy to go. Good luck to everyone!!!!

No Gain/No Loss

Well a good thing about Saturday was being able to watch my girls (we'll call them quart and pint) play their last basketball games of the season. I even got to help coach pint's team because the coach was out of town. (I could mention that he was on a cruise in the Carribean but that just doesn't seem fair does it?) Well pint's team had not won a single game all season. They lost one game by 2 points, but that was as close as it got.
Well the girls have really practiced hard to get better and this week it paid off. They played hard from the beginning and kept the game close. One of our players was fouled with 20 seconds left and our team behind by 2 points. She made both free throws to tie the game. The other team had one last chance though and a shooting foul was called on pint's team with only 1 second left. I know it's not important if we win or lose but dang I was hoping the girl wouldn't make a free throw. (There is no overtime in our Little League so I thought a tie would be great for both teams.) Well to end this long story, she missed both free throws and the game ended in a tie. The girls were so excited. They didn't care that they didn't win, they just knew that they finally didn't lose. No gain and no loss, which is why I thought this was a great story to tell all of my Club Zero friends. These little second and third grade girls worked hard every week, didn't always see the results they wanted but got a big reward in the end. I know it is a sappy way to end this but have a great day on Sunday!! ALFALFA
