So, I tried to weigh-in yesterday, and according to my scale I am either +5 or -5 or anywhere in between. I swear, I weighed like 4 times in a row and all 4 were different, and the needle kept moving away from zero when I was off the scale, and apparently when I take a deep breath I weigh 3 pounds less than when I exhale.....I think my old scale has given up on me. I will be looking for a new digital scale this week. (Anyone happen to know a good place to buy one?) So I suppose I will stay a zero this week and I will count whatever the new scale says as my "new" zero and go from there.
Note:Of course this is Cookie, I do believe I am the only one who forgets to sign each and every post I make....sorry.

:(
Well here I am again and I don't have any excuses this week except being LAZY!!! I am reporting a +1. I know that I have issues with having a new baby but there really isn't any excuse for my eating habits but the fact that my head isn't with it for the last few weeks. So this week I am recommitting myself to be an active member of Club Zero. So I will need all the help I can get. I am going to make a challenge to everyone today to post their favorite Club Zero approved recipe. I really need some help because before I was the salsa and tomato queen and that helped me loose a ton of weight but alas that can not be the case because my little cutie doesn't like tomatoes or broccoli. So I am off to find something else I can snack on to help me get back into the negative numbers. I have to snack (it is a curse) so I just need to find something good to snack on and make my meals count. I am also going to be really good with water and see if that helps. So I am here to plead with all of you to HELP ME!!!! I really need some encouragement and I know that is what we are all about.

Feeling Guilty
When I weighed in this morning I was so mad. I thought that I was going to do better and was frustrated that all my work throughout the week had seemed to be for nothing because of one Valentine's dinner. Then I read all the other reports and saw others had a reason to be more upset or frustrated then me. So I will humbly take my -1 for the week and stop my whining and feeling sorry for myself. What can we do differently to help and support each other? Or was this just a bad week because of a Saturday holiday? I'll try to come up with an answer too. ALFALFA
Glad it happened to everyone
I was so depressed this morning with a +2. I was blaming all those yummy Valentines treats!! YUMMM!!! O-well I guess there is always next week and the treats were totaly worth it :)

Seriously starving!!!!
So, I have done Weight watchers in the past...It was wonderful!!! I lost 60 pounds and felt great and then I had one bad day of temptation...Dessert. And it has been uphill since! I have gained 25 of the 60 back...very slowly but sure enough it is here!!!! So, I really struggle with 9am. I eat with the kids at 7am. My breakfast is a nice warm bowl of oatmeal with raisins...nothing else!!! Doing great and then I am ravenous by 9 am and can't seem to satisfy my sweet tooth until by dinner time I'm not even hungry because I have been grazing ALL day!!!! I'm seriously lacking self control here.

HELP!!
So I have to go on a Youth Retreat this weekend with our ward. There will be lots of wonderful things like sledding and planning our year of activities. But of course being a youth retreat there will also be some less wonderful...and much more tempting...things like candy and cookies and pizza. How to resist?!! Alfalfa, your story about Spanky may be the only thing that gets me through. If Spanky can resist the cinnnimon, I must be able to resist the sugar in any form it hits me in right? Wish me luck Club Zero, I never have fared too well in the face of temptation.

Diet Dew Divorce
So as you know twelve days ago I filed for divorce from my beloved Diet Mtn. Dew. It was a bitter sweet breakup. Me and Dew just have so many great memories together. We've been through some really tough times, some long nights, and early mornings. Sometimes we really just liked to hang out together.
I'm in a rebound relationship with Mr. Dasani bottled water but seriously who am I kidding he's just not as good looking as my Dew. I've tried to dress Dasani up a bit but sometimes I still look at him and think - "WHATEVER, you just don't have that sparkle, that pizazz, the excitement that Dew has!"
Nevertheless, I have withstood the temptation to fall back into my old, unhealthy relationship. The Dew is just no good for me.

YIKES!!!
Ok I had an awesome weigh in this morning but I have been so freaking tired today that all I have wanted to do was eat :( I actually haven't been as bad as I could have been but I hope I haven't undone everything I worked so hard for last week. I just want to keep thinking negative!!! I have determined that bouncing must be great exersize right? I need some new fun recipies to use this week and some great support for some reason I am drained today. Maybe it is 3 hours of sleep for the last 2 nights :) o-well there is always tomorrow.
Here we go
So, I feel like the loser of the club. I only lost .5 lbs. I only exercised 4 days (not 6 like my goal), and I didn't reach my water goal every day. Oh well. This week is a new week. I am starting a new plan. I go to Weight Watchers and they have the new Momentum plan. I am going to follow it to the "T". I am going to exercise at least 5 times this week, more if I can. I am also still working on getting all my water in for the day. Hopefully I can actually make all my goals this week. Oh yeah, I am also doing the no sweets thing with a co-worker for 2 months. I hope I can push through :) Great job everyone else ;)

If you fall off the wagon does it count if you jump back on again?...
So I went out of town this weekend and everything had been going really well, but then Saturday night the in-laws suggested Pizza Hut for dinner. Can we say temptation galore. So I had mentally prepared myself to be as good as I could at our dinner and I had been good the rest of the day so one greasy high cal dinner would be alright and I would stop at a slice or two. Well on the way to Pizza Hut the crew got side tracked and they decided to take us to the Chinese Buffet instead. I am afraid I didn't fare as well in the face of temptation as Zode did. I have a weakness for Chinese. I justified by thinking that I never get to go out to eat, and they were treating us, and so I wasn't going to just eat salad, I can do that at home the other 364 days of the year. I was going to enjoy my dinner out(don't ask why my opinion changed with the resturaunt, I told you...chinese is a weakness...so it made sense to me!) I was almost sick. As we played games that night and the snacks came out I honestly thought to myself, I can't believe anyone could eat anything. I still wasn't hungry at breakfast time, but ate out of politeness, and tried to be very good at dinner, but Great-Grandma had made an apple pie, so how do you say no right in front of her, so I had a small slice. Thankfully(dietwise) I am home now, and have lost no motivation to stay on track. I had a great weekend there, but am a little afraid of what such a binge of a weekend will do to my numbers. Wish me luck, and thanks for helping me get back on track. It is weekends like those that used to derail any diet efforts permanantly. While I am confessing I guess I should admit that I only got in two workouts this week...not five. Please don't kick me out.

Confession
I have been having a hard time getting my exercising in the last couple days. Yesterday, we had friends over. They were here when I got home from work and left late so...no exercise.(which means I didn't reach my goal of exercise 6 days a week since I don't like working out on sunday) Then there is today. The day started with me going to the dentist and being there for 4 hours. Yes I said 4 HOURS. That is what happens when you have 2 root canals done :) Then I had a meeting with my husband and his new boss. I just don't feel good. I mostly blame it on the gas they gave me at the dentist (that always makes me feel like crap) or it could be the fact that I didn't eat anything all day until like 5:30 or so today because of the dentist. Feeling like this dosen't make me feel like working out at all. I did manage 30min (15 on my treadmill and 15 on my ball). I hope I feel better tomorrow so I can get back on track. Sorry guys. I do have to say that I like Club Zero because it makes me want to do things like work out when I don't feel good because I have someone to answer to ^_^

I have a small problem - We have a small problem
I know we are not technically suppose to weigh in until Monday, but my curiosity won out. However, from my "zero" point on Monday my scale says I have lost 25 pounds!!!!! Now as great as that would be obviously it is WAY off, so my first week weigh-in may have to stay at zero for a while until I can get a more accurate number. (it may have stayed there anyway)
I guess it heard about the instant gratification I was looking for!! :0)
I will continue working, and setting goals with you all, just don't judge my numbers too harshly, or I will start posting what the scale says. Gwah ha ha!! Unless it starts flipping the other way - YIKES!
- Zody
Zody forgot to mention that the first day we brought the scale home I weighed myself. Then after going to the bathroom weighed again. I lost two pounds!!! Then later that day I had lost another 2 pounds!! No I didn't have to go that bad - just a crazy scale. I guess you will have to go easy on both of us.

Aaaarrrrgh!!!
So in order to keep our identities a secret I have a hypothetical story I would like to share. (Not like we all don't know each others secret identities, but it's kind of fun to post in code.)
Say I know a person, we'll call him Spanky, who works at a store that sells delicious fresh donuts and other tempting creations. Say Spanky was trying to be really good, he ignored the smell of the donuts and just continued with his work. But lets say Spanky soon became VERY tempted by the enticing smell of fresh cinnamon rolls. (Spanky said he is drooling right now just thinking about it.) Today Spanky was able to withstand the temptation because he is saving some room for a treat to watch two of his favorite TV shows tonight, but what should Spanky do about this on other days? Should he have his nose taped shut so the smell stays out? Should he ask that the smell of cinnamon be banned from this particular store? Should he give in to the temptation and eat just one? (Although once a person eats one it is only a small step to eat two or three.) My friend is having quite a hard time with this and could use some advice. Please send your responses to Spanky McFarland c/o The Zero Club @ blogspot.com. Thanks!! Alfalfa

I have to repent
Ok, so I guess if I am going to do this right then I have to also be honest. I fell off the wagon, yep, I commited the second day diet sin. Today was a little crazy for me, and I failed to plan my meals. I had very limited time between my flight training and my afternoon academics class so I made a quick visit to burger king. I know, stupid me.....but I was tempted by the new "Angry Whopper" it lives up to its name, after I was done I was angry -why - It was nasty and not even worth it. so if anyone else out there is dying to try it save yourself the money and disappointment. I will do better tomorrow, my sweet wife made my lunch.

Is anyone else sore?
I am trying to make my workouts count, so that the prying myself out of bed early isn't for nothing. Yesterday I went a little overboard. I was really into it and needed a drink, but decided not to stop, or I may not get started again. Then I suffered dehydration for about an hour. (good first day huh?:)
So today I was smarter, but I was compelled to be. My legs didn't really want me to go up and down the stairs very well, even before the workout. Can you say JELLO?! At least I know I am working my muscles. Right?
The other positive thing about it is every time I feel a muscle twinge I remember to drink my water and eat my veggies. Day one - Success! Day two - here we go!

Question
This may be a really silly question that I should know the answer to but I don't so I'm hoping someone else does. Some of you know that I used to drink A LOT of diet Mtn. Dew in a day - a very unhealthy amount. I have now gone 4 entire days with not a drop. I'm trying to replace it with water. I heard that you are supposed to drink 8-10 glasses of water a day. Yesterday I was drinking my head off and only finished 5 water bottles (20 oz) - I seriously felt like I was going to float down the road. Is it because my body is not used to water??
