Aaaarrrrgh!!!

So in order to keep our identities a secret I have a hypothetical story I would like to share. (Not like we all don't know each others secret identities, but it's kind of fun to post in code.)
Say I know a person, we'll call him Spanky, who works at a store that sells delicious fresh donuts and other tempting creations. Say Spanky was trying to be really good, he ignored the smell of the donuts and just continued with his work. But lets say Spanky soon became VERY tempted by the enticing smell of fresh cinnamon rolls. (Spanky said he is drooling right now just thinking about it.) Today Spanky was able to withstand the temptation because he is saving some room for a treat to watch two of his favorite TV shows tonight, but what should Spanky do about this on other days? Should he have his nose taped shut so the smell stays out? Should he ask that the smell of cinnamon be banned from this particular store? Should he give in to the temptation and eat just one? (Although once a person eats one it is only a small step to eat two or three.) My friend is having quite a hard time with this and could use some advice. Please send your responses to Spanky McFarland c/o The Zero Club @ blogspot.com. Thanks!! Alfalfa

Basically - pretend like if you eat one your head will fall off. That's about the only thing that would work for me :O) -- Good Luck Spanky ~

You should read Rex Kwan Do's post about the Angry Burger and remember that it is just not worth it. Either that or pretend that the delicious smells wafting through the store are connected to something poisionous?!! Good Luck Alfalfa, that is a sweet mountain of temptation that Spanky has to overcome.

Wow, what an incredible challenge. It would be much easier if donuts smelled like skunks, but sadly (or gratefully) they don't. I wish I could give you a great replacement, but apples just don't taste anyting like cinnimon rolls, even if they have cinnimon on them. I would say, resist to a point, but if it is just too hard, try a donut hole. Maybe that will curb the flavor enough to satisfy "Spanky". Good luck. Temptations are the worst, but they will lessen over time.
