A fellow Club Zero friend and me were discussing that my metabolism seems to be extremely slow these days!!! I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to speed up your metabolism naturally. I know it slows down with age but really -- you should be able to eat an extra carrot at dinner and not blow up like a beached whale --- right?????????

From the oldest member of the Zero Club, I know how you feel. Age does make a difference, but your not old enough for that to make that much difference. I learned when I was in Weight Watchers (sorry I hate to keep refering to them) the amount of food you eat causes your metabolizm to either speed up or slow down. If you are hungry and not eating very much your metabolizm shuts down trying to reserve the calories that you are eating. The more low or no calorie food that you can eat the more your metabolizm speeds up. That is why we eat lots of vegetables. Low in calories, fills you up, and stimulates your metabolizm. I always liked the fact that I could eat 5 or 6 times a day and still see a weight loss. However I did have to be careful what I ate 5 or 6 times a day. Chocolate did not work the same a Zero point soup or a bowl full of raw carrots (cooked ones counted points raw ones did not, go figure) Good luck. I hope this helps.
