So I get to report a -1 for the week, which is better than zero, but still seems to be part of the 3 lbs that I keep gaining and losing. As frustrated as I could get by this (because my goal has not been weight maintenance) I am actually relatively excited. Creating Club Zero happened at a point in my life when the scale was headed up at a drastic pace. I had gained about 20 lbs in a matter of just over a year. It was a problem (still is since I haven't lost it!) but I had this whole moment of realization yesterday as I weighed in. From the beginning of the year till now, my weight gain has stopped!!!! That is wonderful news to me. If all that I accomplish by being a member of Club Zero is getting my weight to level out and stay put, that IS success. Now I am not saying I am quitting the quest to lose weight because I still would like to take off what I put on in that "year of the slowing metabolism" (which I have dubbed it.....I certainly DID NOT gain all that weight by eating cookies and cake and such.....) but I just realized that regardless of weather maintenance was my goal or just what has happened, in and of itself it is a success. I am glad that 20 lbs heavier or not, I am comfortable in my skin, and I think ultimately that is the most important thing of all. And now I will step off my soap box....Thank you!

I agree with Poppy when I get to the point that I am comfortable with my health and with myself I am not going to care what the scale says. Congratulations!!!!!
