Our dinner last night.

We ate Southwestern Turkey Burgers and they were soooo good. The recipe only makes 4 patties but we usually just use a pound of meat and 1.5 the recipe to make 6 patties.

They are 100 calories, 2 fat, 2 fiber which makes them 2pts per patty and they are filling :)
We used the new thin buns which made them 4 pts per burger including condiments.
  • 8oz extra Lean Ground Turkey
  • 1/3 of a red bell pepper diced small
  • 1/3 of a green bell pepper diced small
  • 1/3 of a yellow bell pepper diced small
  • ½ of a small onion diced small
  • 1 medium button mushroom diced small
  • 1 egg white
  • ¼ cup quick oats
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp dried cilantro
  • Salt & pepper

Put all ingredients in a bowl and combine with hands.

Form the mixture into 4 equal sized patties approximately 4 ounces each.

Grill about 4-5 minutes a side or about 6 minutes on the George Forman Grill.

I don't use the 3 different colors of peppers. I usually just use 1 full green pepper.

Hope you enjoy :)
