Question????
Darla here I was just wondering if anyone had dieted while nursing?? I was doing so great a couple of weeks ago and loosing weight but I found myself having to give my baby bottles. I don't want to have milk issues. Does anyone have any tips to keep up with the diet and exersize and not loose your milk? (I know that Alfalfa, Rex, Fogerdy, and the Saints Fan really don't want to know about that but all you mom's out there may be able to help me I am so frustrated)

I wish I had a answer for you, when I nursed forever ago. I did not care about dieting which I should have because I still have Tyler weight to lose and he is almost 12 and then you add Aspen weight who is almost 9 thats a lot of years of weight to try to lose!
I dieted while nursing but never had any problems with milk. I swear I was a cow. A very productive cow. I guess just take it easy while you have to and pay attention to your body. Is it the diet, or the excercise, maybe you could work on just one or the other, or maybe this should be a time for slow weight loss and not a time to lose it all fast. I wish I was more help. Good luck.
Your body is talking to you, listen!! Right now your weight is not the most important thing. Drink lots of fluid. Not just water. And hopefully your milk will increase. This may be a time to simply maintain.
In the classes I used to teach, they always encouraged excercise, but not calorie counting. Fluids are definately the most important. You are naturally burning more calories right now, so just watch you portions and try to eat a well balanced diet. He also might be having a growth spurt - just try to feed him more often if you need to. Good Luck!
